South Wabus lake

 

Full week - Saturday to Saturday

Short week - Saturday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Saturday

As South Wabus is in high demand for spring and fall walleye short weeks are only available from June 18th to August 31st

What to bring to South Wabus lake

  • Food, bottled water, and beverages.
  • Personal effects.
  • Raingear, all-weather clothing, and rubber boots.
  • Sleeping bag and pillow.
  • Insect repellent, first aid kit, and your own ax.
  • Towels, dish towels, dish cloth, dish soap and scouring pads.
  • Garbage bags, paper towels, and toilet paper. 
  • Flashlight and gas or battery powered lantern.
  • Personal Floatation Device.
  • Last but not least, fishing tackle!

For walleye
  • Leadhead jigs, and tails.
  • Rapalas.
  • Rat-l-traps.
  • Hot'N'tots.
  • Worm harnesses.
  • Floating spinner rigs.

For pike

  • Pike will of course hit on anything in your tackle box!
For lake trout

Live bait is available but should be ordered before your arrival.
Algoma Highlands Outfitters promotes conservation and asks that you practice catch and release with all fish but those you will eat during your stay and that you take nothing home. I also ask that you return to the lake walleye over 26 inches, pike over 32 inches, and lake trout over 28 inches. your cooperation is greatly appreciated by myself and future visiting fisher persons.

South Wabus Lake

A comfortable fully equipped 4 person cabin that can handle 5 people in a pinch, with electric lights and running water. Gas stove and fridge. Boat and motor and gas are provided per 2 people on both Wabus lake and South Wabus lake. South Wabus has the added bonus of beautiful views of the Algoma Highlands.
Excellent walleye and pike fishing on South Wabus and Wabus lakes. And lake trout on Wabus Lake.
