  Algoma Highlands Outfitters is located near Chapleau Ontario. We have over 30 years experience, much of it at our Northwind and South Wabus Lake cabins. We have 5 drive-in, boat-in cabins in the Chapleau area of Northeastern Ontario.

   We can offer Quality fishing for Walleye, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike at Northwind and South Wabus Lakes.  Walleye and Northern Pike and lake trout are available at Grub and Deluge Lakes as well. 

  Grub and Deluge Lake are ideal for those who like to fish at out lakes with unlimited options on where you can fish. 4wheelers are needed  for these lakes. Or for those who like you can opt out on the fishing and enjoy the hundreds of miles of roads and trails on your ATV.

  Sladen Lake cabin will not be open until 2012 but day trips can be made by ATV from Grub Lake.

  Casper Lake our most remote lake is available for Quality Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike. This lake has not been fished in 3 years so they will be ready to jump in the boat.

  All our location have quality accommodations and equipment. Algoma Highlands Outfitters is a conservation-minded operation, conservation limits apply at all locations. We appeal to you to practice catch-eat-and release.

  Bow hunting for Bear is available at Deluge Lake, and bow hunting for Moose at Deluge or Grub Lake.

  Canada Moose hunters with their own tags are welcome at all our cabins.

  Limited Wolf hunts are available.

  Eco-trips for photography, or to enjoy our beautiful great outdoors are available at all locations.

  Guides are available for all activities.

  What to bring
  •  Food, bottled water, beverages, and personal effects.
  • Rain gear, all-weather clothing, and rubber boots
  • Sleeping bag and pillow.
  • Insect repellent, first aid kit, and your own personal ax.
  • Towels, dish towels and dish cloth, dish soap, and scouring pads.
  • Garbage bags, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Flashlight and gas lantern.
  • Personal floatation device.

Drive-in Boat-in Lakes

South Wabus Lake

  South Wabus Lake is located 9 miles off hwy. 129 on the Whitehead Road. A truck is preferred to reach the landing

after crossing Wabus Lake a portage of 100 yards is necessary to reach South Wabus.

Northwind Lake

  Northwind Lake is located 12 miles off hwy. 129 on the Whitehead Road. After crossing Vezina Lake a portage of about 200 yards is necessary to reach Northwind. There are 5 lakes available.

Fishing for Walleye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Speckled Trout.

Hunting for Black Bear, Moose, Wolf, and Small Game.

Eco-trekking and ATVing.

 

Fully equipped cabins and all necessary boats, motors, and gas.

Grub Lake Outpost. A 4wheeler's paradise with countless miles of logging roads and trails. Grub Lake also has excellent fishing on outlakes.
Northwind Lake outpost. A 3 mile boat ride and a short portage gets you to Northwind Lake, with 5 lakes to fish you'll never run out of options. 
The South Wabus Lake cabin. A three mile boat ride down beautiful Wabus Lake and a short portage puts you here.

Grub Lake                                                                                

  Grub Lake is located On the Hinkler Road

25 miles from Hwy.129. With hundreds if

not thousands of miles of roads this is an

excellent spot for ATVing. Or for those who

like to fish a different lake everyday there

 are innumerable lakes to fish. Moose

hunting is also available at Grub Lake.

Deluge Lake

  Deluge Lake is an extremely remote

lake located 30 miles south of Ramsey

Ontario. ATV's are needed to reach

the cabin. Like Grub Lake, Deluge has

hundreds of miles of roads for ATVing.

And hundreds of lakes to fish. Bear and moose

hunting are available at Deluge Lake.

All fishing trips include fully equipped cabin and boat and motor per 2 people on main lakes plus boats and motors or canoes on out lakes 

South Wabus and Northwind Lakes are Saturday to Saturday

Grub and Deluge Lakes are Sunday to Sunday
